Shiva Rudra Balayogi has an extremely interesting Batgap interview from many years ago, well worth listening to.
His Sadhana was to meditate for 20 hours a day for 5 years until his enitre mind tendency was absorbed into the Self and he became a ‘Self realised Soul’.
I call this Moksha, total and permanent Liberation of the Mind.
He advises people to have Determination, Patience and Persistance.
His Meditation practice is to sit and observe whilst holding ones attention and fixing ones eyes looking between ones eye brows. Over time this meditation causes the mind to become absorbed and for thought content to become reduced drastically. The objective is to be able to sit for one hour without any thought content arising. From there increase the hours of meditation without thought.
Undoubtedly his path is an extreme one and is not for everyone. Yet inspiring nonetheless.
For those in Austin Tx, he is visiting between the 30th May – 6th June (2023). I plan to attend one or two of his meetings where there is meditation followed by Q&A.
